Plymouth – EOTECH, one of the leading manufacturer of Holographic Weapon Sights (HWS) and Magnifiers, has recently announced a sale of 1,000 of its sighting systems to the Indonesian Armed Forces.

Known as the Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI), the Indonesian Military selected EOTECH’s Holographic Weapon Sight (HWS) and magnifier, for use by the TNI(s) Special Forces unit, Komando Pasukan Khusus, also referred to as Kopassus.

“This sale represents a new level of confidence between EOTECH and the TNI. We’ve always had a level of penetration into the Indonesian market, but not to this degree,” said Frank Moss, Business Development Manager for Asia.

“This recent acquisition represents the confidence in the quality, performance, and reputation of EOTECH’s products.” Moss went on to say, “We must also acknowledge the efforts of our in-country partners too, who did an amazing job promoting the EOTECH brand to the TNI”.

EOTECH is represented in Indonesia by Trident3 Adaptive Technologies Group Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian-based procurement management specialist.

Trident’s Chief Executive Officer, Owen Bateman, was ecstatic at the outcome of the tender process, highlighting the synergy that exists between the two companies as a key ingredient in their collective success.

“Trident aims to only provide best-in-class, proven and relevant solutions. It was an honor to have worked with EOTECH and provide the TNI with their equipment needs. I have every confidence in the quality of the EOTECH product line and look forward to supporting the TNI in the future”.

The TNI can expect delivery of the EOTECH optics within the coming months.

Kopassus is one of the largest special operations formation in Southeast Asia and was involved in basically all major operations conducted by TNI in the history of its formation.
