Intelligence duly provides the ability to anticipate opponent's courses of action and their possible counter reactions. In essence it is a process that will enlightens our judgement. It mainly resovles around information. Information is the most valued and graded commodity in intelligence, hence it is strongly protected to guarantee the safety and sovereignty of a nation.
Looking at intelligence againts the backdrop of the current advancement in information and communication technology, it proves to be more demanding and challenging. This is simply because today's information domain is vastly open and freely available to the masses. Nevertheless, like all technological advancement, it is susceptible for misuses for the wrong ends.
In comprehending this evolution, the defence industry has been the fundamental movers to the evolution of intelligence technical tools and its application. The DSA 2012 will provide new updates and technological knowledge on the latest development in critical platforms of intelligence collection and analysis. Thus, all governments and security establishment have much to benefit from DSA 2012 in their effort to nurture and maintain peace around the world.
I am certain we will gain new knowledge and experience from DSA 2012. Just like in the past, it has greatly contributed to all players in the field especially the defence industry, governments and the general public.
