The Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) has the combined might of the Royal Malaysian Army, Royal Malaysian Navy and the Royal Malaysian Air Force to defend and protect the sovereignty of Malaysia as well as her interests from domestic or external threats including maintaining general security, providing aid during the course of national emergency or natural disasters, and also participating in national development programs.

With the three branches of service that safeguard the national interests dispersed on land, water and airspace, the Armed Forces of Malaysia recognises the importance of having the competitive edge. Thus the MAF is committed to employing highly capable personnel to serve in the force while at the same time modernising and upgrading our capability to ensure the nation's sovereignty and strategic interests are protected.

DSA 2012 offers fantastic opportunities for military and defence strategists from all over the world to engage and network in the name of advancements and friendship vis-a-vis confidence building. This in turn will ensure the continuous stability and security in the region.
