Over the years, the Defence Services Asia (DSA) series has been an international gathering of verious military officials, vendors and clients showcasing their latest military trades, expertise and technology. The event has also been a catalyst in the exchange of ideas, opinions, proficiencies and discussions whilst acting as an avenue for the development and strengthening of ties between countries.

With the calamities and terrorist activism that threaten the very existence of peace throughout the world, it is critical that we anticipate and be vigilant towards any impending attacks or possible outbreak of war. It is only right that every country seeks to safeguard its interest and its people from these circumstances.

DSA 2012 plays the ideal role in the cumulative debate on issues and in-depth matters pertaining to military technology and its management that would ensure each country benefits immensely, and to provide strategic views for serving each country's varied needs in terms of military governance.
