The DSA series, over the years, has played a major role in enabling the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) and the Malaysian aerospace industry to be part of the exciting evolution of defence technology and security systems towards meeting security needs. To achieve the objective successfully, the RMAF's capacity must always stay relevant and competitive with the changing times.

DSA 2012 which is the Asia Pacific's largest defence and security exhibition, has benefited the RMAF significantly since its inception 22 years ago, enabling into maintain and operate at a level that is constantly vigilant and prepared in order to be able to respond and be deployed in times of emergency and crises.

This significant event will foster and renew ties as well as facilitate collaborations for greater peace in the region.
